Wall Mount Bracket - Info Guide

Proper Placement for a Wall Mount Bracket for Stereo Speakers

When deciding to install a home stereo system, the speakers that come with it are usually not enough, particularly if the plan is to have music throughout the home. Having speakers sitting on the floor in every room does not work well as an idea either. By choosing the proper wall mount bracket, speakers can be placed through the home with no clutter being added anywhere.

A wall mount bracket will take the speaker and keep it up and out of everyone's way. This means no taking up possible valuable floor space by having an inconveniently placed speaker or creating a trip hazard in the home. There are enough of those normally without having to add an additional one.

When choosing a wall mount bracket, the size of the speaker itself must be considered along with its weight. Each manufacturer and supplier will have a rating attached to these to let you know if it will hold the speaker in question. Be sure to confirm that the bracket being purchased meets this requirement.

The next step is to decide in each room is where the bracket will go. The ideal placement is in a corner, facing into the center of the room for maximum effect. When adding two speakers to a particular room, these should be placed at opposite corners from each other to “flood” the center of the room with sound.

When mounting these, be sure to place them high enough so heads do not get bumped on them, but low enough to allow for dusting and cleaning of the speakers themselves. These can all be found by using a simple Internet search and taking some time to do some research. Many of the websites will also have sound design ideas to get the most out of your home stereo system with proper speaker placement.
